After the success of the inaugural “Crucial Conversation Series” session on maternity leave, Young Women in Law, together with the OBA Women Lawyers Forum, proudly presents Part 2 of our “Crucial Conversation Series”: Leaning In and Taking Control of your Career

A panel of six prominent, well established women professionals from the Toronto legal community will discuss taking control of your career by utilizing negotiation techniques to further your career goals. The panel will address many useful topics ranging from negotiating salary and benefits to seizing opportunities within your firm or organization. The panel will be followed by a series of mini-workshops in which attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with each of our panelists and discuss practical negotiation tools to use in advancing one’s career.

This event aims to give women new insights, depth and skills to navigate their career. You will learn how (and be encouraged) to reach your goals by changing the conversation from what women can’t do to what they can do.
