Diversity and Inclusion in Law: Has Anything Changed a Year After "Black on Bay Street"?

Diversity on and off Bay Street has been an ongoing issue in the legal industry. The article Black on Bay Street was released a year ago and there have since been two recruitment cycles and countless conversations about how to approach diversity in law.

Join panelists Hadiya Roderique (author, Black on Bay Street), Natasha Bhimji (Interim Director, Student Programs at Stikeman Elliot LLP), Shara Roy (partner at Lenczner Slaght LLP), Nimali Gamage (partner at Goddard Gamage LLP), and Erica Young (policy counsel in Member Regulation at the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada), and moderator Atrisha Lewis (associate, McCarthy Tétrault LLP) as they discuss what, if anything, has changed on Bay Street and beyond. Panelists will discuss topics including hiring trends and practices, workplace culture, and best practices in the workplace at law firms and in-house.

The panel will be followed by a cocktail reception to continue the discussion in an informal setting.
